Congratulations to Allison Roeder '22 who received the Martin Luther King Jr. Model of Justice Award from the Archdiocese of St. Louis on Sunday, January 16th!
Ally was nominated by Notre Dame because she has demonstrated through her four years here how to be compassionate and supportive of those who struggle with special educational needs like herself. She is a dedicated advocate who stands by their side and recognizes how she can help create equal opportunities in school, service and work for others with similar disabilities.
"I dedicate myself to helping those that are experiencing the same struggles that I have in the past. The reason I help other students with these struggles is because I have struggled with many things since grade school that cannot be clinically treated. I had to find ways to overcome my disability with the help of others while learning ways to overcome them by myself. I want to give people the same help that I was given."
Notre Dame is very proud of Ally's resilience and compassion!
