Last week, we had the last of our enrichment camps at ND! Esports campers gamed with some of our best current players. Spiritual Development Through Art campers reflected and created crafts like stained glass vases and rosaries. Sewing campers learned the basics while making their own scrunchies and beach blankets. Cooking campers concocted an array of goodies including fruit salsa and cookies — they even had a cake decorating competition. We loved having all of our campers on campus with us this summer!

Another fun week of enrichment camps at ND! This week included Digital Arts and Sign Langauge Camp. Digital Arts campers practiced their photo manipulation skills, made green screen videos, and created digital paintings and sculptures. Sign Language campers learned basic fingerspelling, practiced having a conversation, and played lots of fun "signercises" and other signing games.

Support ND Athletics! Join us for a full 18 holes of golf during our Annual ND Golf Tournament on Saturday, August 7th at Oak Valley Golf Course & Resort. More details and a link to register can be found at www.ndhs.net/golf-2021.

Our enrichment camps this week included Babysitting and Theater Arts! Babysitting campers learned CPR and First Aid, practiced infant care and planned their own babysitting activity bags. Theater Arts campers had a chance to experience everything on and off the stage including costumes, lighting, sound, singing and dancing. Summer is off to a great start at ND!

Since 1988, almost every ND student that has passed through these halls has been taught by the Mrs. Mary Godefroid. Today we celebrated Mary and her dedication to Notre Dame as she will be retiring from teaching at the end of this school year. We want to express our sincerest gratitude for everything she has done for our school, and the many young women she has made a profound impact on. Thank you and happy retirement, Mrs. Godefroid! We presented her with a "confetti of cards" from past and current students that she is eager to read.

Wednesday was the senior's last official day of class at Notre Dame. Those four years really do speed by, don't they? Thank you for your resilience and understanding this school year. Your positive leadership was tremendously appreciated. We are eager to celebrate all your accomplishments next week but will miss you too. Remember to enjoy these final moments together as a class — they will go by so fast.

Congratulations to Bayleigh Ramirez '22 who received the Sacraments of Initiation this morning! Family, friends and faculty members gathered in Notre Dame's chapel to welcome Bayleigh into the church. Our campus minister, Liz Miller, served as Bayleigh's sponsor; she has been a wonderful guide for Bayleigh during this process. Bayleigh said that the ND community — her fellow students and teachers — being witnesses to their faith was a major part of her decision to enter the Catholic Church. Truly a special celebration!

Today was the first of several end-of-the-year events that will celebrate the Class of 2021! The seniors were officially welcomed into Notre Dame's alumnae community during our Alumnae Induction ceremony. Current senior moms who are also alumnae of ND pinned in the newest ever loyal members. Congratulations, seniors...and remember you can always come home to dear old Notre Dame!

Did you know today is National Babysitter's Day? Let's celebrate with this #SummerCampSaturday highlight! In our NEW Babysitting Camp, campers will learn what to do in emergency situations, tips for entertaining various ages, and how to find opportunities! In Leadership Development, campers will learn how to use their strengths and build their confidence in group settings. There is still time to register on our website!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! 🎉 Notre Dame High School is blessed to have a committed, approachable and hardworking faculty. Being in-person this unique school year can strongly be attributed to the dedication of our teachers. We are so grateful for each of you and all you do for our students! 💙
